Marion Correctional Treatment Center is located in a single two story building surrounded by a high security perimeter fence. Housing is mostly in single cells, but some inmates are bunked with two to six inmates in a single cell. The Marion Treatment Center treats inmates with the goal of stabilizing them to the point where they can function in a normal prison environment. In addition to Marion Correctional Treatment Center housing inmates with mental health issues, this facility houses a population of about 122 general population inmates who provide support services that include working in the kitchen, laundry, in custodial maintenance etc
